Overview
Performance Appraisal is a vital and enabling part of the overall Performance Management process. If done badly however, it becomes a confusing waste of time; a process that frustrates managers and irritates members of staff. This course will show you the benefits of running high-quality performance appraisals and how painlessly they can be achieved in practice. It aims to reverse the common negative reaction to appraisals and encourage us to ‘praise’ appraisals instead!
Key Outcomes
This course aims to give delegates the skills, attitudes and confidence to deliver quality performance appraisals. Through practical activities and discussion delegates will address the key skills of managing objectives, giving feedback and running the all- important appraisal meeting, with confidence. - Clarifying Performance Expectations – defining output, inputs and pivotal situations, identifying key performance indicators
- Securing ‘Buy-in’ – why everyone should ‘praise appraisals’ and treat them as important to the business
