Introduction to Supervision
“Although supervisors usually only have responsibility for small groups they nevertheless have a fundamental impact on the volume and quality of work produced in the business.”
Benefits
A supervisor is neither a fully-fledged manager nor just simply a member of the team (which can be difficult for newly appointed supervisors to reconcile). Their role is to ensure that work is planned and executed in a timely and safe manner, whilst maintaining appropriate standards of quality. They also need to motivate and support the team.
